Editorial Process

A clear, transparent path for every manuscript submitted to a Verde journal.

  1. 1Submission

The author submits the manuscript online through the journal.

  2. 2Editorial check

The editor checks scope, formatting, similarity and completeness.

  3. 3Peer review

Independent experts review the manuscript in a blind process.

  4. 4Revision

The author answers the reviewers and uploads a revised version.

  5. 5Decision

The editor makes the final decision based on the reviews.

  6. 6Copyediting

Language, references and style are polished for publication.

  7. 7Production

The final layout (galleys) is prepared and proofread.

  8. 8Publication

The article is published open access in an issue.

Publication ethics

Verde journals follow internationally recognised publication-ethics practice. Plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate submission and undeclared conflicts of interest are handled firmly and transparently.

Appeals and corrections

Authors may appeal a decision by writing to the editor with clear reasons. Errors found after publication are corrected through a published correction or, when needed, a retraction notice.
